There’s a small controversy brewing in cyberspace
over – of all things – a KFC fried chicken commercial
that is Australian-based, and is drawing criticism in
this hemisphere for being racially-insensitive to people
of color.
Here’s a look….
Not much there is it? Either something is lost in
the translation or maybe certain individuals are
seeing a hostile racial element that is not really
present.
It can be argued reasonably that such a commercial
would be inappropriate on U.S. airwaves for obvious
reasons. But the commercial is hardly promoting the
negative and unhealthy message that commercials for
skin-lightning creams are in such countries as India.
Lighten your skin and live happier and become more
prosperous.
It is absolutely intolerable the idea of people being
pressured by society to use skin-lightening creams
on a continuous basis just to fit in or land a decent
job.
It is all so unnecessary.
But back to KFC. Fried foods tend to be greasy,
salty and overall not the most healthy.
Please consume in moderation only.
